Improving Wellbeing Sessions


What is it?

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to book a place on our improving wellbeing sessions.

These sessions will be delivered by two NHS Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners who will help you learn techniques to overcome low mood, anxiety and worry. You will receive a free workbook of your own to use throughout the sessions. The sessions will give you opportunity to meet people who may share similar feelings to yourself however you will not be asked to share your own experiences or to speak in front of others.


When & Where?

The sessions are held on a variety of different days and times for you to choose from. The sessions are held at a number of different locations across Sheffield and Online too. Click here for the dates available to book.   

Who are they helpful for?

  • Anyone interested in improving their understanding of low mood, anxiety and worry. 
  • Anyone wanting to learn and develop skills and strategies to improve their mood and wellbeing.
  • Anyone who is willing to practice the learning from each session


How many sessions?

There are a total of 4 sessions which are two hours long and run on a weekly basis.

Here is what you can expect in each session:


‘Overcoming Anxiety and Worry’


‘Overcoming Low Mood’


Session 1:Learning about the anxiety response and the benefits of relaxation


Session 1: Learning what we can do when low mood affects our behaviour


Session 2: How changes to diet and activity levels can help reduce anxiety


Session 2: How making changes to sleep, diet and activity can improve your mood'


Session 3: Learning what we can do when anxiety affects our behaviour


Session 3: Understanding how low mood affects thinking and learning helpful techniques to change this


Session 4: Improving sleep and planning for the future


Session 4: How to continue your progress and planning for the future
